"When a madman begins committing horrific murders inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's works, a young Baltimore detective joins forces with Poe to stop him from making his stories a reality." (IMDb)

I'm actually not too familiar with the 1960's movie which starred Vincent Price, but it looks as if The Raven will follow in suit with Anonymous; taking a look at a famous author's personal life. John Cusack stars in the film, so it'll be interesting to see how he becomes Edgar Allen Poe. I don't have a problem with him in this role, although I'm sure many critics and film buffs will all have something to say about his performance. I'm looking forward to a very dark, goth, freakish like movie, so we'll see if the mind of James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) as director can pull this off (previous credits as assistant director also include The Matrix Trilogy).

The Raven opens in theaters April 27th, check out the trailer below. What do you think?
